On January 22nd, members of Garden Spot Fire Rescue, along with neighboring mutual aid departments, battled a two-alarm dwelling fire in Earl Township. Firefighters were challenged to move water to the scene and position equipment in a secluded area with limited access points.
After several hours of battling the ongoing flames, the house and surrounding barn were considered a complete loss. The fire had progressed for a few hours before firefighters had arrived. Firefighters continued to place water on the remains to ensure there was not a "re-flash" and that the surrounding area remained safe.
