- for peace by peaceful means
TFF PressInfo # 606

Lund, Sweden December 9, 2020

Dear friend

Welcome to this new TFF PressInfo, heralding the coming 2021 in which we continue - undeterred - to promote the idea of bringing about peace by peaceful means.

If weapons could create peace, our world would have been at peace long ago. For this myth - human civilisation's largest - to continue, something tragic and self-destructive has happened:

The discourse of peace has, by and large, been squeezed and starved out of research, politics and media.

While most people seem either determined to create more of this darkness or to curse it, TFF lights candles.

The menu above carries you to the foundation's production spaces. 7500+ articles over 35 years make TFF one of the largest producers of peace research and policy materials anywhere. Note also below the two magazines we curate daily.

We are proud of being continuously at quality service to students and other academics, including historians, and any concerned citizen worldwide. All is free and will always be.

While not in demand now, nonviolence and other peace thinking and policy ideas will be popular in the future when people shall look back and say: Good Lord, we were lucky to survive that unchallenged militarist paradigm. How could they be so ignorant about the consequences of their violence against other human beings, cultures and Mother Earth?

Whether we who run TFF shall personally be around by then isn't important. But it is important that the analyses, debates, theories, concepts and constructive proposals coming out of TFF shall be available.

Finally, tomorrow on the Nobel Peace Prize and Human Rights Day, TFF launches a global Statement for the conversion of at least 50% of the world's military expenditures toward solving humanity's problem, a statement already endorsed by 300+ Associates and friends around the world.

It's common sense and you'll be able to sign it. Let's be many in the name of democracy!

Now, scroll down a bit and be inspired here and there. You don't need to read everything on this gourmet smorgasbord.

There is no such thing as a free peace...

TFF is exclusively people-financed, no corporate or government funds whatsoever. All-volunteer too. That has preserved our legendary integrity, free research and political incorrectness. But we need a little - for this newsletter, homepage, subscriptions and for our on-the-ground fact-finding in conflict areas. Even the smallest sum is big for a shoestring operation like TFF.
