It is with great excitement and pleasure that I announce to you that after a thorough recruitment campaign resulting in applications being received from throughout Australia and internationally, the Board of NECOM has appointed Mr. Chris Clark as its new CEO.

Congratulations to violinist Eliza Scott who has recently graduated from the Royal College of Music, London with her Masters in Performance degree. Eliza successfully auditioned at the Royal College for this prestigious and highly competitive degree course in 2018 and continued her post-graduate studies in London with support from the Australia Council of the Arts.

Welcome to Jessica Suann who will join NECOM as its first contemporary voice teacher starting in Term 4.

Another first for NECOM! Starting in Term 3, NECOM and St Joseph’s Primary School in Mungindi joined together to deliver online music lessons into the classroom via zoom.

Term 3 of 2020 was incredibly busy and productive due to the determination, commitment and creative thinking by NECOM’s amazing community of staff, teachers, students and schools.
