It is a saying I use quite a bit, and after all that has happened, I was feeling it a bit more this time around as packed for my trip. Now that I'm back, I realized that the trip gave me just what I needed... fresh air, laughter and a Texas-sized dose of friendship.
The weather couldn't have been more beautiful and was sunny and in the 60s-70s pretty much the entire time we were in Austin. I found plenty of street art to take pictures of, which is totally my thing, and shared posts of my shenanigans on Instagram and Facebook if you would like to check them out. We managed to work around crowds, staying in open spaces and sunshine every chance we had. I loved every minute!
The second book in my Goddesses In Love series is coming along finally, I think the vacation had a lot to do with waking my Muses. We are all ready to get back to work, and it is nice being on the same page, so to speak. I am also anxious to get back into Book 2 of my Paranormal Mystery series now that I went on a ghost walk in Austin, which filled my mind with possibilities. It was so much fun to hear about the local history, and we learned a bit about one of the most haunted sites in Austin, The Driskill Hotel. It had me comparing The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO, and the book that came from it by Stephen King. While I don't think I will write something as scary as The Shining, I am looking forward to challenging myself to branch out. So fun to think about!
I have an upcoming book signing and was featured in a digital magazine this month, so be sure to check out the links below! In the meantime, have an amazing April and I will see you next month!
I am excited to announce that I was one of the featured authors in Uncaged Book Reviews this month! This is a beautifully designed Digital Magazine, spotlighting Indie Authors and the stories they create. I highly recommend giving it a read, and you will find yours truly starting on page 46.
You will also find a cameo on page 44 under the Authors and their pets of none other than Bubba the Cat! I know he isn't mine, necessarily, but he looked too cute in that little blue hoodie not to include him.
If you like what they do, please be sure to pass the link on, or sign up for their newsletter. They really do feature some great authors and their book reviews are nicely done.
This weekend is the Dreaming Dirty in Michigan Book signing event, which will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ann Arbor, MI. For those who are local and interested in attending, you can find more information at their EventBrite link. General Admission is free, but tickets are required in order to adhere to social distancing requirements and masks will be mandatory.
The event runs from 11 am to 4 pm, with a 10am VIP arrival for those who purchase that level ticket. I will have copies of all my books available for purchase and look forward to seeing some friendly faces, even if they will be behind masks. :) If you want to be part of the virtual fun, be sure to joint their reader group: https://www.facebook.com/group...
Anyone who is interested in purchasing a signed copy of any of my print books can get things moving by filling out my interest form, which can be found at the button below. Shipping and handling rates will apply.
I am still trying to get through the books on my TBR pile and get some reviews out. I can't believe a month has gone by and I haven't gotten any further ahead! I am reading Magical Midlife Madness by K.F. Breene and it is definitely the light-hearted read I need in my life right now. If you know of any Paranormal Women's Fiction that focuses on an older heroine, please be sure to let me know!
Still no word on my query for the flowershop series and still pushing ahead on Book 2. I hope to get back into that starting in May, once I finish my clean draft of Medusa's Secret (or at least that is what it is called right now). This year my plan was to get a lot of writing done, and hold back the releases, but I am itching to get something out there, so am having fun posting my shorts on my website. If you haven't seen them, be sure to check them out under my Writing Cave tab on my website.
I hope this finds you happy and healthy. For those who celebrate, Happy Easter, Happy Passover, and welcome spring!
