It's a wrap

Warwick Schaffer

It was great to catch up with so many of you at the recent ABA conference. Many conversations were begun and there is much food for thought - for all attending.

One takeaway from the panel session on the business of bookselling from Anna at Potts Point was, "Happy healthy book-loving staff is the key to my business".

I think we all know there is no substitute for quality human interaction; this was evident over the weekend event, with so much was gained from discussions and the exchange of ideas.

Lucky for us we get to do it all over again next month in Auckland with the NZ Booksellers.

Ticket Giveaway

Thanks to everyone that entered our ticket giveaway. Megan Lindsay from Books for Kids was the lucky recipient. It was great to offer a NZ bookstore the chance to enjoy this diverse conference and we are sure Megan will share her experience with other kiwi bookstore owners.

Updates Last Month

In May we continued work on the Circle Gift Card System. This is now ready for beta testing so do get in touch with us if you would like to test.

This is a major new feature. See the youtube support videos on it here for more information.

We're happy to announce (long awaited) credit notes can now be applied to invoices. It is featured flagged for safety so if you would like to try it ask support to turn in on for you. (We'll be preparing and tweeting links to videos on this also).

This month we have been prioritising spam and security. We would like everyone to consider using more secure passwords as soon we will be enforcing this. Good passwords should be long, unique and contain alphanumerical characters. (Rule #1 do not reuse passwords)!

There are many password manager apps available to help. These are vital.  Bitwarden and Lastpass are just a couple to consider.

See all improvements in detail here.
