    Thought for the day

I always wanted to become something important

I wrote down this saying many years ago:

"I always wanted to become something important when I grew up. Now I understand I should have defined that in more detail..."

Time passes fast. If you haven't defined what you want to be, sit down and think about it. And then start planning how to get there. It won't happen on its own if you don't give it your attention.

    Happiness Journal / Spring Swan

We were walking by the sea, enjoying the budding spring. This lovely swan was swimming on the shoreline. I love the subdued colours of this photograph.

    Teddies in the Window

During this corona pandemic everything is cancelled. I don't know who started this habit, but here in Finland people have started putting teddy bears in the windows to give joy to passers-by. These teddies are from my walk today.

What made you happy today? Send a note and tell, if you wish to share your little happy moment with others.

    Daily Quote

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree
and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”

    - Abraham Lincoln

(I admit I chose this qute because I am writing my dissertation proposal for my MA in Egyptology, in half-panic as I only have two weeks to do it and I have been studying material for it since January. So I have been "sharpening the axe" here until now...)
