Hey ,
What's one school supply item you can't live without?
What's one you can live without, but purchase over and over again anyway?
So here's my confession -- it’s silly in the grand scheme of things -- even though I'm barely using my Passion Planner these days, I’m already eyeing a new one for 2022.
I just can't resist back-to-school shopping season, and I'm a sucker for a beautiful (and functional) planner.
I miss writing out and organizing intricate project plans into the pages of my planner, but these days I have fewer intricate project plans and more daily routines:
- breakfast routine,
- get out the door routine,
- lunch time routines,
- nap time routines,
- park time routines,
- pick up time routine,
- dinner and evening routines.
I do still go pen to Passion Planner to brain dump my endless to do lists. There's nothing quite as satisfying for me as checking off those little boxes next to tasks as I complete them.
As I'm thinking about my next planner, I'm considering switching over to an undated style, but I'm not sure.
I kind of like having all the dates filled in, but I feel guilty about the wastefulness of all those unused pages. Can you relate?
I'd love to hear what kind of planner or planning systems work for you -- dated? undated? electronic? paper? Daily? Weekly? Monthly?
How do you map out your writing projects or professional obligations across time? What hacks do you use to track your writing time or make regular progress towards your writing goals?
Especially if you're a big fan of undated planners, please please please tell me all your thoughts.
