Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
The Center for Indian Country Development (CICD) will hold an inaugural event in a new webinar series called “Cultivating Native Economies in the 21st Century” focused on federal Contracting on June 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm – 3:00pm Central/3:00 pm – 4:00 pm Eastern.
Over the last 40 years, Tribal enterprises have increasingly done business with the world’s largest procurer of goods and services: the U.S. government. Recent research from Center for Indian Country Development (CICD) found Tribal Nations and their enterprises have seen growth in federal contracting revenue, however it remains a small share of all federal contracting revenue. Learn from economic development subject matter experts and USET partner organizations on opportunities for Tribal enterprises to rebuild Native economies and advance economic prosperity through federal contracting. Register for the session here.
According to USET Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and the USET Tribal Enterprise Directory, roughly half of USET member Tribal Nations currently participate or are seeking business in this industry. To learn more about the USET member Tribal Enterprises participating in federal contracting, check out the USET Tribal Enterprise Directory.
