The start of the new season has brought many field visits, active communication about energy efficiency practices, and, of course, intensive preparations for the Impact Days 2026 conference. Participants in the energy efficiency training

The best energy is the energy we manage to save

From December through March 1, the EcoVisio team conducted energy efficiency training sessions in nine villages across the Republic of Moldova, and the series will continue with seven more sessions in the coming weeks. We focused on practical, easy-to-understand tools: how to keep the house warm in winter and cool in summer without unnecessary costs, where money “leaks” in the household, and what small changes lead to real savings, etc. Read more here.

In Cociulia, Cantemir District, this idea is already taking shape through the energy community LLC “ENERGIACOMUNĂ.” The community comprises 7 members and 14 consumption points (NLC). You haven't yet allocated 2% of your income tax to EcoVsio?

If you have a mobile or electronic signature and are an income tax-payer in Moldova, you can do this in just a few minutes. Follow the instructions in this post to go through this quick and easy process. In 2025, the DEADLINE for filing tax returns and designating the 2% is APRIL 30. Don’t forget that you’ll also need the EcoVisio tax ID (IDNO): 1013620004362

BeChangeMaker: Impact Accelerator Moldova 2025 concluded Successfully

The program focused on social and impact-driven businesses in the Republic of Moldova and aimed to support initiatives that develop sustainable solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges. Over the course of the accelerator’s 8 in-person days, participants went through an intensive process of learning, hands-on application, and strategic reflection in person in Chișinău. The program brought together social entrepreneurs, impact businesses, and innovative initiatives at various stages of development. More details in this post.

Then we invite you to apply to BeChangeMaker: Impact Accelerator Moldova 2026—a program dedicated to entrepreneurs who are developing innovative solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges in the Republic of Moldova.

✅ Eligible applicants include social and impact entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova, innovative businesses, as well as social and impact startups that have been in operation for more than one year since the launch of their idea.

📍The application deadline is April 22, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

We are looking for greening service providers!

We invite experts to apply for one or more lots, provided they can demonstrate relevant experience for each lot and submit the appropriate application documents for each one.

Lot I – conducting greening audits for civil society organizations (CSOs) and Local Action Groups (LAGs) in accordance with the methodology proposed by EcoVisio;
Lot II – conducting thematic training sessions for CSOs and LAGs in the areas of green and sustainable development;
Lot III – conducting mentoring sessions for CSOs and LAGs to support and monitor organizational greening initiatives.

Grant opportunities and partially repayable funding to support social entrepreneurship and impact-driven businesses!

The East European Foundation has launched two funding opportunities dedicated to social entrepreneurship and impact businesses in the Republic of Moldova: a grant competition, with funding of up to €20,000 per project, and a partially repayable funding competition, with support of up to €40,000 per company.

‼️The deadline for submitting applications is April 16, 2026.

Survey for Students

We are conducting a broader study on how young people can influence the design and use of public spaces in the city. In other words, the study is about how young people can influence decision-making in the city and how public spaces are managed.

📍The survey is for young students under the age of 30. It takes about 10 minutes to complete. Access the form here.
