All teachers of languages are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to participate in a one-hour online Focus Group. 
Choose the Focus Group session that reflects your context: 

4 August 6pm: Language teachers in Victorian schools 

9 August 4pm: Language teachers in a Victorian Community Language school

25 August 4pm: Teachers of Auslan (interpreters present)

25 August 6pm: Language teachers in a Victorian Community Language school

6 September 4pm: Language teachers in Victorian schools

14 September 6pm: Teacher of a Victorian aboriginal language

The Minister for Education recently announced the establishment of the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership. The Academy will deliver an Australian-first program of advanced professional learning for exceptional teachers in government, Catholic and independent schools.

The new Teaching Excellence Program will be delivered from the Academy’s purpose-designed facilities located at 41 St Andrews Place, and seven regional locations ensuring access to high-quality professional development across all Victorian schools.

Teaching Excellence Program

The Teaching Excellence Program (TEP) is a discipline-focused one-year program designed to advance professional expertise and practice for highly skilled teachers from government, Catholic and independent schools. On graduation Teaching Excellence Program participants will be Fellows of the Academy and can then apply for Master Teacher roles in the Academy or further action research through the Academy Fellowship program.
