HUE, HUG, HUF, ADI, SURF & Scholars Abroad will all take place this summer!
The month of March brought exciting news that Harding's International Programs are planning to start back up this summer! Over the last few weeks, we've been meeting with summer groups in our driveway (as pictured) to discuss and answer questions about what restrictions and modifications have been made to each summer program to allow them to take place.
A Unique HUF Opportunity
Due to strict ongoing regional travel restrictions that will likely limit any travel outside of Florence, two four-week sessions of HUF are being offered in place of a full summer program. The cost of the program has been substantially reduced to reflect the modified itinerary. Each session of HUF is being limited to 20 students in order to have the flexibility to implement quarantine procedures within the Villa, if necessary.
These one-month HUF options have proved to be a great solution for many students who cannot study abroad for a full-semester but would still like a study abroad experience. It is also allowing students who have already completed a full-semester abroad elsewhere the chance to visit HUF when they would not be able to otherwise attend a second, full-semester abroad.
June HUF is full with a waiting list but there is still space available for the July HUF session. If you're interested, please visit the HUF page for more information on the cost of the program and the courses offered and sign up by clicking the button below!
Summer programs are not the only programs with exciting news, we've made some big changes to the Harding in Zambia (HIZ) itinerary and cost sheet for the fall 2021 semester! HIZ 2021 students will spend the beginning of their semester in Zambia, as well as one week in North Africa in Egypt and then close out the semester with a visit to Greece before returning back to the US. These new additions will allow students to learn more about the rich history of Africa, as well as the missionary efforts in this part of the world, with Greece serving as an immigration converging point where missionaries can minister to people migrating from Africa and the Middle East and into Europe.
While in Egypt, HIZ students will
Visit numerous pyramids
Visit the Sphinx
Cruise on the Nile
Tour a variety of Egyptian temples, tombs and ruins
While in Greece, HIZ students will
Tour Athens (the Parthenon, Mars Hill & more)
Work with the local church and missionaries in Athens to minister to locals and migrants from numerous countries
We’re looking for a student worker for this summer! The student needs to be able to work 10-20 hours per week for the duration of the summer and love study abroad as much as we do! Apply by April 2nd, 2021, by following this link!
