Let's celebrate our independence by supporting our independent farmers & producers for the holiday weekend!
The first of Troy's early season peaches will be ready for this Friday's market, and red & blue are in full glory to make a 100% local, festive fruit salad — black raspberries, blueberries, cherries & strawberries!
Pick up a variety of vegetables for easy grilling — cabbage, onions, summer squash, zucchini & fennel. And don't forget the mushrooms! Grab some grass-fed beef for burgers, tomatoes for slicing, local cheddar or cheese spreads to top it off, and cucumbers for a cool salad on the side.
Keep reading for a new farm intro + the full lineup detailing ALL the local goodness you'll find this Friday! (We will be there rain-or-shine but may have to pause for safety in storms.)

Join us in welcoming Dave & Kathy King of King’s Sweet Corn & Produce to our market community this Friday! Their small family farm in Parkesburg is well-known for delicious sweet corn, which they will bring to market soon (it's not quite ready!) along with a variety of other homegrown produce.
A bit more about the Kings...
When Dave was in junior high in the early 1970's, his family started growing half an acre of sweet corn that he & his siblings sold from the back of a pick up truck by the side of the road. The old truck at the entrance to The Creamery was their first corn picking truck! The money they made was used to buy back-to-school supplies & new school shoes.
The Kings now grow 22 acres of fresh produce, selling most of it at their roadside stand on the farm. They pick their corn & other vegetables daily in order to provide customers with the freshest produce possible. They utilize IPM (Integrated Pest Managment) farming methods, concentrating on soil health, using cover crops, soil builders, and mulches, along with beneficial insects & plants in high tunnels for pest management.
This week’s harvest:
Slicing tomatoes + heirlooms for holiday cookouts! Plus mini cabbage, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, onions, garlic, green beans (limited), and new potatoes (limited).
The sweet corn is coming soon but not this week!
