Things are starting to progress. Our newish events committee (Linda, Steven and Pauline) have been hard at work developing the program for the next time span. Unfortunately Stephen Wicks needed a break and we wish him well and hope he returns when he is ready. I for one, really appreciated his contributions and his workshops.
Some important events that you should consider are as follows
- A rotary club stall November 12. You may wish to join with some other members and sell your masterpieces
- An exhibition at Karwarra Gardens. I will definitely be exhibiting as many of my works as possible so you better let us know if you wish to exhibit your pictures
Let Kathie know a.s.a.p. if you want to participate in the above
Competitions:
10 November 2022 (Cityscapes),
9 February (Photojournalism),
23 March (Open),
11 May (One Colour),
22 June (Juxtaposition),
10 August (Autumn),
28 September (Open)
Workshops:
27 October Speaker (Gary Smith – a Judge’s Perspective),
An important calendar event.
Major Exhibition at the HUB 20/03/2023 to 14/04/2023. This has been approved and has now passed most hurdles
We will have framing and printing workshops so you can prepare but it might be a good idea to start thinking about what you’d like to exhibit and perhaps start working on a short video of your best work to give to me at the appropriate time. If you’re not sure – download Davinci resolve and have a play. There are many other programs that will also allow you to create an mp4. It may be a good idea to have a chat with me if you’re not sure how to do this.
We are considering doing some outings etc. in the summer break so feel to make suggestions. Remember we are more than happy for you organise an outing and promote it to the group yourself at any time
Finally, whenever we don’t have a competition, we’d like willing members to spend a short 10 -15 mins on showing a few of their favourite photos. Let me know when you see me if you’d be interested
Don’t forget………
CHRISTMAS DINNER
DEC 8
PARADISE HOTEL Clematis 7PM.
We’d love to see as many as possible!
