Stopping the spread of malaria is possible, but it means everybody has to know what to do. The TCE project works tirelessly with schools and school children to keep them informed about the signs and symptoms of malaria, as well as about the measures of prevention, as here at 1 May School in Calandula, Malanje. School teachers receive training on how to give malaria lessons, and project Health Agents also give lessons for pupils, in this case in Lombe, Cacuso Municipality, Malanje. TCE Malanje received kits from the Provincial Health Office. The kits include equipment for malaria testing, medicine, and 100 mosquito nets. Deputy Director of Teacher Training School ADPP Malanje, Feliciano, accompanied the reception of the material.

Supporting Women Farmers
Women’s Advocates from Ilha Negala in Cabiri, in the municipality of Icole e Bengo attended a training session on Women's Labor Rights. This is one of the many topics in the Education and Empowerment of Women and Girls Manual, which is an invaluable resource as it ensures all groups in whatever part of the country receive quality training full of knowledge and new learning. The group in Ilha Negala had many questions about the subject, and they took the opportunity to start preparing for the People's Exam that will take place on November 11. The way communities use resources forms part of the community mapping process. In Calapunda, Bibala, members of the village participated in the preparation of the matrix of the use of resources associated with the land. They were joined by people from Liwe. 67 people in all, 35 of whom women, took part.
