Agency News

Welcome to July!

We hope you and your travelers are staying safe and healthy! We're excited as we start to see signs of the rebirth of the travel industry.

In June, EWA Travel decided to conduct its own travel survey to determine the current impact of travel within our client's organizations and found some insightful information. We found that there were two areas that your organization may want to keep in mind when considering traveling again.

  • If you haven't yet, it may be time to update your travel policy. In the wake of COVID-19, roughly 69% of our respondents have made updates to their organization's travel policy. Additionally, 58% of respondents have created a separate COVID-19 policy that addresses current internal processes.
  • Are you offering you travelers PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) prior to traveling? Due to COVID-19, many airlines have taken several safety precautions to limit the spread. 59% of respondents expressed that airlines mandating face masks during flights offered the most peace of mind from the options listed.
  • EWA can help you cross some places off your local travel bucket list. 60% of our corporate clients indicated they plan to take a leisure trip and drive rather than fly. Who hasn’t dreamed of enjoying local renowned properties like the Homestead (Hot Springs, VA), Inn at Perry Cabin (St. Michaels, MD), Salamander Resort (Middleburg, VA),  The Greenbrier (White Sulphur Springs, WV), and The Tides Inn (Irvington, VA)?  Some, like the Inn at Perry Cabin, are offering packages that include a $300 food and beverage credit. If you'd like assistance in booking your next vacation, EWA Travel is here to assist.

EWA Travel is cognizant of the current times we are in and will continue to offer the same level of personalized service to each client. Should you require assistance at this time, you can rest assured that our agents are working diligently to ensure you're knowledgable and are supported throughout the process.
