OLYMPIA – The Port of Olympia invites the community to enjoy free outdoor movies in a beautiful waterfront setting at Movies at the Marina events Friday, June 23 & Friday, June 30 .
The family-friendly events will take place at Swantown Marina, along the Billy Frank Jr. Trail, south of the Swantown Marina Office (1002 Marine Drive NE, Olympia 98501). Bring low chairs and blankets for seating. Free parking will be available.
On June 23, check out the adventures of a pet chameleon in a raucous frontier town in Rango (PG). Then, on June 30, time travel with Marty McFly in a tricked-out DeLorean in Back to the Future
(PG). Each movie will begin after sunset at approximately 9:30 pm.
The events will include a movie concessions booth presented by Olympia Area Rowing. Food vendors include The Port Taco Truck on June 23 and Sweetlee’s Ice Cream on June 30. Food and concessions will be open from 8:00 pm through part of the movie showing.
