Hello Friends!

Happy Friday! "Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out!

This week has been a mix of busy and calm. I went to an interesting pitch night event where new business owners competed to win big grand prizes; participated in a networking event with a theme of "self care"; and, researched some potential new project opportunities. However, the highlight was going to the Mogul X conference this past weekend- where I had a chance to glean a lot of great information from Suze Orman in a series of workshops. She was every bit the "firecracker" I imagined her to be, and was a wealth of knowledge.

Be sure to check out my random pictures, video highlights, stories, and other life musings on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week as well!

I hope that you have a great weekend, and upcoming week!

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Mellifluous: (adj) A sound that is sweet and smooth, pleasing to hear.

  • ADVICE:  "The power of uncomfortable conversations is real AF. And, if you wanna grow, you gotta be willing to have them." -Sharon Beason

  • COOL FOOD I TRIED: While I am not a fan of ice cream (yeah, I know...I'm probably in the 1% of that sentiment), I recently gave in and tried these My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream Balls at an event. I can't say that I will be rushing to buy them (because I really don't like ice cream); but, they did seem to be a huge "hit" amongst the other attendees- and they do have a lot of cool flavors. So, if you're an ice cream lover, you may want to give them a try!

  • FEEL GOOD STORY: I came across THIS STORY through a friend's Facebook post, and it totally melted my heart and made me tear up with joy. I truly love when those small moments human kindness are captured.

  • RANDOM LIFE TIP: Need to make a drink cold really quickly? Wrap it up in a wet paper towel, and put it in the freezer for two minutes.

  • GADGET I'M CURIOUS ABOUT:  I'm a bit "old school" and have an actual piggy bank that I have used to collect all of my loose change over the years. However, recently, I came across THIS DIGITAL COUNTING JAR in a store, and am thinking about doing a little upgrade for counting ease.

When I saw this quote, it really struck a chord with me. It made me think about how often we can find ourselves in a hamster wheel of experiencing the same things over and over again because we refuse to readjust our lens, or our frame of thinking. When we operate from a fixed mindset, it limits our possibilities and experiences. And, sometimes, when we see that we are in a continuous cycle of frustration or confusion- that may be a sign that we need to do some self reflection on where our line of thinking is. There may be something that we are doing, projecting, or not seeing that is holding us back from where we are wanting to go. And, it would behoove us to take some time to dig deeper into that so that we can fully move forward into the next level of our journey.

This week's challenge is to reflect on an area of frustration in your life that you feel like you may be in a "rut" over, or can't seem to shake. Now, think about small (or big) ways in which you can shift your thinking to bring about a different experience in that frustration.

Thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey! I will be sharing some upcoming events that I have been working on in the next couple of newsletters- so stay tuned for more info and invites!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:
