In ‘AI, tech, and data in health care: what do the public and NHS staff think?’ Ahmed Binesmael, Senior Improvement Analyst at The Health Foundation, will share research on public and health and care professional attitudes towards technology like AI. He will also discuss what organisations people trust with their data, and what kind of activities they are willing to engage in to support the development of technologies in health and care.

By applying insights from this research, we can support the responsible and safe implementation of technologies in health and care, ensuring that the public are at the centre of the decision-making process - improving confidence, trust and ultimately, health outcomes.

Social prescribers, care coordinators and other non-clinical staff often lack the digital tools needed to deliver truly joined-up and proactive support.

In ‘Rethinking Digital Tools for Personalised Care’, Tom Lawrence, Director of TPL Software and Person Centred Academy, will showcase an early-stage platform designed to empower non-clinical staff through better coordination, communication and person-centred care planning.

Attendees will be invited to share feedback to help shape the platform’s evolution, and explore how digital solutions can be integrated into everyday practice to reduce admin burdens, improve efficiency and better align care with what matters to each individual.

Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations often hold vital NHS contracts that support health and care delivery in community settings. They also have valuable experience in involving communities in digital health research and user-centred design, and in the evaluation of new technologies that support personalised care.

Led by experts from Northern Health Futures Hub and Voluntary Organisations Network North East, this webinar will provide practical information and guidelines for how to work with the VCSE sector in research partnerships. The presenters will also walk through examples of community-based approaches to personalised care innovation.

These questions and more will be explored at our webinar, ‘Tech that Cares: Personalising Health Through Digital Innovation’ - hosted by Helen Robson, Enterprise Architect at Cora Health, and Mike Carpenter, Head of Clinical Delivery at Cora Health.

Mike and Helen will delve into real-world examples and future-focused thinking on how digital tools, such as patient portals and personalised care planning platforms, are empowering patients, enhancing clinical-decision making, and creating seamless, data-informed care journeys.

We’re delighted to welcome Dr Sunil Kumar as the lead for our new Lifestyle Medicine Special Interest Group! 🍎🏃🏾‍♀️

Dr Kumar is an Anaesthesiologist at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust and a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician with over 30 years of clinical experience.

He is also the Lifestyle Medicine Lead Tutor at the WHO Collaborating Centre at Imperial College London and is a faculty member for NHS England’s Health & Wellbeing Workshops.

In his role, Dr Kumar will drive the development of the special interest group and collaborate with its members on initiatives and action plans for advancing the practice of lifestyle medicine.
