A WORD IN DUE SEASON

Dear Friends,
This month we celebrate the glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ! This event is pivotal in the course of human history because it represents the instant Jesus conquered death.
What does this mean for us?
It means that those of us who are in Christ have also conquered death. Scripture tells us that we died with Him and we also rose with Him on that Sunday morning. Romans 6: 8 says this: "And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him."
Do you need something resurrected in your life today? A relationship? A health issue? A dream? A bank account? If so, go to Jesus, trusting in His amazing words: "I am the Resurrection and the Life" (John 11: 25).

My eight-year-old granddaughter has become quite the devoted soccer player. Here she is, fielding the play, in 37-degree weather.
I'm looking forward to cheering her on during the new season. This Nonna knows how to yell! :)

If you have not yet read The Iron Saint, I encourage you to do so soon. The Lord instructed me to write this book back in November of 2020. It is a clarion call to the Church to prepare for the coming persecution.
There is no question we are living in perilous times, the times about which Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24. Already we have experienced the "beginnings of sorrows" that Jesus talked about.
But times will grow worse for the Body of Christ as the forces of evil threaten to overtake all that is good. Yet, Scripture tells us in Matthew 16: 18 that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church. Praise the Lord!
But we must prepare. Just as a triathlete prepares for the Iron Man competition, so must the Christ-Follower prepare for the dark days ahead. Jesus said that he who endures to the end shall be saved (Matthew 24: 13).
Will you be one who will endure? I pray so.

Spinach all'Italiano
(from the Kitchen of MaryAnn Diorio )

Ingredients:
1-2 lbs. fresh spinach
Olive oil
Garlic, minced
Italian-flavored Breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
__Wash spinach thoroughly.
__Place 1-2 tablespoons olive oil in large skillet.
__Add minced garlic and brown until golden.
__Add raw spinach and cook until tender.
__If necessary, add more olive oil.
__Sprinkle Italian-flavored breadcrumbs over spinach and mix well.
Serve and enjoy!
