Dear Melville Community,

Last year found residents active in the suburb, working towards maintaining Melville. The Melville clean-ups have improved street appearances and kept pavement weeds under control. Many thanks to the Physical Environment team for their continued engagement. We aim to continue this endeavour in 2022, especially in joint efforts with MSI’s Safe Streets initiative. Land use and Liquor portfolios were kept on their toes in 2021 as new establishments opened closer to residential properties. Working with Heritage, the portfolio teams maintain relationships with property owners, relevant authorities, and council. We will be continuing our involvement in the ongoing Precinct Planning.

As we enter a new year, please remember that safety is key in all facets. Protect your home, your family, and your community by ensuring your property is secure and maintaining diligence in the public health battle against Covid (by getting vaccinated and wearing a mask in public spaces).
