We are so excited to kick off the weekly market season with you all this Friday from 3-6pm!
Several favorite producers who took a winter break are returning this week, with more bi-weekly and monthly producers making their seasonal debut in the weeks to come.
- New for the season! Get hot BBQ platters for here or to-go... all the delicious details below.
- This week you'll find a variety of healthy vegetable + herb starts to plant at home. 🌱
- Troy hopes to be back with apples (stored for winter, still delicious!) and hard ciders next week – stay tuned.
- We might have flowers if Brandywine Blooms can harvest enough, but they'll definitely be back next Friday!
Find us in the parking lot of 600 S Broad as usual with plenty of free parking on site. We can't wait to see you there!

A special message as we start the season:
This spring’s unpredictable weather has been particularly hard on our farmers. The recent warm spell followed by a hard freeze severely affected some crops like newly-emerging asparagus, and it heavily damaged strawberries and other fruits in bud or bloom stages (grapes, peaches, apples, etc). Across the Mid-Atlantic, fruit growers in particular are facing significantly smaller harvests, and some lost their entire crops for this year.
Because our farmers at KSQ bring only what they grow, what you see at market reflects the realities of each season. They are not going to bring asparagus or strawberries in from elsewhere just to have asparagus or strawberries available at market.
While we’re all hungry for abundant spring produce, late April into May is still early, and these cool temps and gray days slow things down. The good news is, variety and quantity will naturally increase as nature allows!
We ask for your patience, your understanding, and your support of the care our farmers at KSQ put into bringing real – and truly local – food to our community through all seasons. If you don't find strawberries at market, but there's lots of lettuce... embrace the season with them, and enjoy lots of salads! We're in this together. 💛

Rain or Shine!
We're committed to being a rain or shine market! If there are any changes due to extreme conditions, we will provide updates via email and social media. Check Facebook & Instagram if you're uncertain on market day.
Shopping Hours
We open "our doors" at 3 PM, and we need every minute until then for all vendors to be fully ready. If you arrive before 3 PM, please wait by the entry signage at either end of market, and listen for the bell to ring to welcome you in. We truly appreciate your cooperation!
Starting weekly May 1, market closes at 6pm.
Location & Parking
Find us in the south end of the parking lot at 600 S. Broad St, Kennett Square, PA.
Plenty of FREE PARKING is available on site!
ACCESSIBILITY: There are a few parking spots near the first entry reserved for those with limited mobility. If you need any assistance to shop, please let us know how we can help.
Market Shopping Tips
- Preorders continue to be helpful for both producers & customers, so take advantage of that option as available to secure exactly what you need for the week.
- BRING CA$H as not all vendors accept cards or have a minimum for card use. (Cash is always appreciated, as the fees for card use add up for small businesses!)
- PA-based produce farms accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program (WIC) + Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks from June–November.
- BYO reusable bags to help reduce plastic waste.
- BYO cooler or insulated bag to help keep things fresh and safe on warm days as you travel.
- Feel free to use the red market wagons + black shopping baskets to help carry your load as you shop — just return to the Kennett Collaborative tent when done.
- Stop by the Kennett Collaborative info tent or ask one of the vendors to point out Ros, the Market Manager, if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Market Manners for Dogs
- Well-behaved pups kept on a short, non-retractable leash are welcome at market!
- Please be sure your dog is comfortable walking calmly past people and other pups of all sizes without lunging, barking, or growling. If you are unsure, please be kind to your dog and others by not bringing them to market.
- If your dog becomes stressed or uncomfortable, please quickly step out of the market area.
- Mind your dog's manners while shopping.
- We appreciate your consideration to keep all safe and happy!
