Ecumenical visit to Bossey, Geneva for Ordinands 18-22 October 2021
The UK Bossey Network are organising a visit to the Bossey Ecumenical Institute in Geneva next autumn for ordinands.
The aim of the visit is to provide a formative experience of global ecumenism through shared learning, dialogue and worship with members of those studying at Bossey who represent a wide variety of Christian traditions from around the world. The visit provides a distinctive introduction to the history and challenges around ecumenism as well as the activities and resources of the World Council of Churches.
Whilst you are on the trip you will have the opportunity to participate in some of the lectures alongside the international students at Bossey. There are also seminars from the professorial staff at Bossey and the World Council of Churches given specifically for our group. The group will have regular opportunities to reflect together on their experiences. One of the most valuable opportunities during this trip are the un-timetabled moments to encounter people from other Christian traditions from around the world.
There is space for up to two from each College/Course.
Ministry Division funds the cost of the visit but participants are asked to arrange and fund their (budget) flight to and from Geneva airport and to meet the cost of occasional drinks.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Russell for further information and the application form by 18th April 2021.
