The world and I are always changing, but some things stay the same. God's faithfulness keeps us rooted in His love. The same story--His story--is always being told.
Today I want to tell you about the next chapter in my writing story. At first it might seem to you a change of story, when actually it is change of chapter. His story, no matter how I grow and change, is still being told.
This January, I enrolled to study online to become a certified book coach. A book coach is more than an book editor. It's also a mentor, cheerleader, and accountability partner for writers. This will be an expansion of my writing business, complementary if you will. My writing will not stop throughout my studies, but will be strengthened. It's been so inspiring already! Plot Twists & Endings
You might be wondering. What happened to Elida and Jane's story? Why do we hear nothing of this historical duo anymore?
In short, this story has became emotionally raw for me. My Bumpa who inspired it is now suffering dementia, just like a major character in the narrative. Another character deals with pregnancy issues. This, too, is a raw spot for me, now that my husband and I have decided not to pursue having children anymore after some years of pain in this area. I needed space from this emotional story.
The hole left by Elida's story ached. I asked God one teary evening, What can I contribute to the world through my writing? What is the story I was born to tell? The answer surprised me.
Today I'm launching a new project. It's the idea God nudged me to that evening, which I have grown and developed this past year or so, behind the scenes.
Before I give you the link to this new part of my website, I want to encourage you to stay open to God's working in your life. Remember, nothing is wasted, and He works all to His glory and our good. He may surprise you, but He will never let you down.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this new chapter! Since this new project will take the majority of my writing time, this Letters from Laura newsletter will now be quarterly (every three months).
When you check out this new project, be sure to sign up for email updates, because monthly emails will be sent out from this now.
