I hope all is well with you. The weather has been pretty grim here, but today, the sun is shining. Hurrah!
Finally, after banging on about it for the last few newsletters, I released my latest book. Here's what inspired it...
Many years ago, on holiday with my first husband, as I walked towards St Mark's Square in a flooded Venice, I bumped into an American man who was staying in the same hotel. We laughed when we discovered both our spouses were sulking in their rooms because we were stupid enough to brave the 'filthy water'.
We swapped cameras and took each other's photos. When I got the film developed (no digital pictures in the dark ages!), I loved the photo. Recently, I chanced upon it during a clear-out, and it gave me the idea for a story that became Venice or Bust, a second-chance romantic comedy. I used that photo for the cover.
