Happy Friday

I hope you are enjoying the winter and surviving the pandemic. We've had multiple days of snow up here in the north east so I am really looking forward to hitting the slopes this weekend. I've had a crazy-busy week on the business side, and could REALLY use some fresh air and fresh powder. Here are a few things I enjoyed reading this week.

Feeling down? Feeling the need to get out of the house or out of the daily routine? Getting your daily steps is the perfect winter activity to boost your mood.

I have always been an admirer of J.D. Roth. If you dont know J.D. he's a super smart guy that hacked his finances and achieved financial freedom (FIRE). He recently shared an article that hit a personal chord. I often feel like I'm too old to achieve the things I wished I had tried or started 10-20 years ago. Well, thats crazy-talk. Start where you are right now. 

Cross country skiing is one of my favorite winter activities. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy downhill 1000 times more - but XC is a MUCH better workout. With the need to find fitness in a social-distant time, cross country could be the best way to stay in shape this winter. 

I don't know about you, but I need to get out of the damn house. I am already working on a short list of trips to take this summer - whether the pandemic is over or not. Colorado is high on my list. Check out the full list of 27 by Outside Magazine.
