Happy new year! Can you believe it's 2023? I can't, and I'll be writing the wrong date on things for six weeks at minimum before I catch up. It's practically a tradition.
But date confusion aside, thisis one of my favorite times of the year. Reflecting on what's been, and planning what's to come, is like catnip to me (if I were a cat.)
I also love to reflect on what's been. You'll find my highlights of the year further down, including the books released and conferences attended and trips taken and also a funny T-shirt I saw at NASA's giftshop.
(Not buying it is my greatest regret of 2022.)
Thanks for being a subscriber and reader this past year. I hope you're excited for the year to come, because I sure am. There's something amazing about turning the page and finding an unwritten chapter there, waiting to be filled.
And so, thank you 2022, and cheers to a marvellous 2023!
May this new year bring you happiness, health, and plenty of opportunities to curl up with a good book.
We got this, Olivia
I released three full books!
That meant I closed out two series, as both the New York Billionaires and the Brothers of Paradise are now complete.
I went to three amazing author conferences. SPS in London, RAM in Houston, and 20Books in Vegas. Four-hundred authors in a room is A LOT in every sense of the word, haha.
I met amazing new people and got to hang with some of my author friends. I also met three of my heroes... Melanie Harlow. Lucy Score. Kandi Steiner. I triedtorestrain my inner fan girl but probably only half-succeeded.
For Christmas, I released an epiloguecollection for the New York Billionaires, filled with brand new stories of how the five couples celebrated Christmas.
This year, my first books in German released, too! There are even more translations coming in 2023...
This was the year I finally made some Hayle merch, too. I drink almost exclusively out of my mugs. It kinda makes me feel like an Acture Capital employee or an Honorary Marchand.
I spent time in the Caribbean in the spring, where I plotted and started writing a new book. It's being edited now... and will release in the summer of 2023.
More audiobooks were added, most of them narrated by the amazing Meg Price. And there are more to come!
I had a ton of fun with discreet paperbacks this year! There are definitely more coming next year, so keep an eye out if you prefer the non-model covers. Personally, I'm obssessed, like they permanently-live-on-my-desk-obssessed.
And last but not least...
I found this shirt at NASA in Houston and I think it deserves it's very own spot in this round-up. Astronauts clearly have a sense of humor!
Tired of this joke yet?
Have you read all of my bonus stories? These include extra chapters and extended epilogues.
