It has been exhausting and painful for the Asian American community, particularly for Asian American women. The horrific murders of eight people in Atlanta, including six Asian women, were brushed off as a result of a man having "a really bad day." They did not announce the names of the victims, as if they were not even human. The reporting further forced Asian women into a space that they know all too well: invisibility.
