Social media is a great place to share your maker journey. Twitter specifically is the best place I've found to talk not only about the products you've made, but the process and motivations behind making them. The reason for doing this is not only to gain exposure and awareness of your product, but also inspiration, support, validation, and feedback from the maker community at large. One way I do this is using something I call the 8-tweet carousel. It's a rotation of 8 different tweets that I like to write out leading up to any product launch: - What did I make?
- What problem does it solve?
- How does it solve that problem?
- Who does it solve the problem for?
- Why did I make it?
- How could I improve on it?
- What inspired me while making it?
- How am I launching it?
I've had great feedback talking about my products in this way, and I would love to know your thoughts and how you would recommend modifying or improving this approach.
