We are delighted to announced the latest CoDi programme – following generous funding support from Arts Council of Wales, Jerwood Foundation and PRS Foundation (by whom we have been included in its UK-wide 73-strong Talent Development Network).

Aimed at composers and music-creatores, CoDI 24/25 features paid, artist-led pathways, alongside INTERACT, a suite of workshops and training. 

This year's schemes include Tuag Opera (in partnership with Music Theatre Wales) which pairs six music-creators with six writers, supporting them to develop skills in writing opera and Ffidil Plws - leading UK contemporary practitioners Angharad Davies and Darragh Morgan lead six music-creators in writing for solo violin and electronics.

The wealth of experience that Brian Hughes gained during his highly successful career as a choir and opera chorus director helped him become one of Wales’s leading choral composers. Such is the popularity of his work that Dr Terry James wrote, “Wherever there is vocal music making in Wales, a choral work or song by Brian Hughes will be performed.”
