Thankfully We Were Not Hit

Thankfully our facility was not damaged by the storm and we have no current reports from our church community of injuries.  However, some do have damage to property and we encourage everyone to continue to reach out to each other and provided support when possible.

We are actively reaching out to our neighborhood to see how we can be helpful moving forward. We are opening our facility to the AA groups that were meeting at East End UMC (which suffered significant damage), and Zion Lutheran in Franklin, KY (where Pastor Joel serves as Interim Pastor) has reached out and wants to offer clothes and supplies to our community.  We will be working with them to find the best way to distribute those items.  Finally, we have offered our facility to these impacted churches for worship services as they work to repair their own facilities.

Continue to pray for all impacted by this storm.

Help St. John's

Our sister congregation, St. John's Lutheran Church, was destroyed in this storm.

Pr. Morgan Gordy (Christ Lutheran, Nashville) is on our Synodical Lutheran Disaster Response team.  She says what St. John's needs  immediately is money for tarps. If you're interested in helping, you can donate to Christ Lutheran Church online and they will distribute the money from there.

You can donate to "general operating," and Pr. Morgan will watch for donations from non-congregants and target your giving towards disaster response.

**You'll later get a letter from Lutheran Disaster Response acknowledging you donation.

On a Personal Note

As many of you have heard, my wife Ann is struggling with a severe case of the flu and my dad has been hospitalized for pneumonia and the flu after a fall on Sunday night in our home.  Thankfully we have excellent family support but we would request your continued prayers for us as we juggle these illnesses amidst all the other happenings going on.
