Mission Highlight - Camp Centurion
Many veterans are able to make a successful transition back into the civilian world after they are discharged from military service. For those veterans, the training and experience they received in the service helps them excel professionally and thrive personally when they return to civilian life. However, for others the road home can be long, difficult, and filled with problems and pitfalls. Some veterans suffer from physical disabilities or the emotional scars of war, resulting in financial crises, legal problems and homelessness, which make “coming home” almost impossible.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

Camp Centurion has been created to provide local veterans with a program for becoming successfully reintegrated into the community. The key elements of Camp Centurion's programs include:
* Supportive housing in a secure environment that is structured and supervised. The community nature of supportive housing will provide fellowship and the forging of bonds as the veterans help each other to achieve goals.
* Assistance with access to services and benefits. This will enable veterans to address and overcome the issues that have negatively impacted their ability to function in the civilian world.
* Personalized plans. These will be created for individual veterans to enable them to achieve the goal of becoming stable and productive members of the community. These plans will include employment, financial, legal and emotional counseling.
Camp Centurion will provide services to veterans who have sacrificed for each of us and our country. These veterans need our help transitioning to civilian life. Camp Centurion is a 501(c)(3) registered organization that is committed to serving veterans. Our church supports this outreach through our Missions Team's budgeted funds and through some individuals who have felt led to financially assist this program. If you would like to help Camp Centurion or if you would like to join the Missions Team, please contact Jon Dunn at email@example.com.

Dear Young at Heart friends,
We have all had many fun events this year, but all that fun has cost us, and our funds are now slightly in the red. We need additional monies in our account to finish this year. If you are able to make a donation, please designate "Young at Heart" on the memo line of your check and place it in the offering plate or drop it off at the church office.
I would also like to plan a fund-raising bake sale to be held after a Sunday service. ALL profits will go to the Young at Heart account.
Join us this Sunday! Check-in begins at 10:45

Who knew that shopping on AmazonSmile can actually support CCLW at the same time?
Here's how.....sign in to smile.amazon.com, and in the upper left-hand corner you will see a link to charities/donations. Click on that link and specify Community Church at Lake Wylie (be sure to put "at" and not "of") as your charity of choice. Our church is already registered, so the next time you sign in to smile.amazon.com to place an order, 0.5% of that order will automatically be sent to our church. Just keep in mind that the order must be placed through smile.amazon.com as opposed to amazon.com. It's that simple! You are now one of those "in the know"!
A Message from the Senior Pastor Search Team The Pastor Search Team has been working, praying daily and meeting weekly to call our next Senior Pastor. We review resumes, discuss applicants and listen to many, many sermons. This is a critical process and an important decision for all of us at CCLW. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as God guides us through our work.
