Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
Mark your calendars and save the date for the 2026 USET Best Practices Conference! This annual Conference will be held June 15-17, 2026, in Nashville, TN and will convene leaders from USET member Tribal Nations to engage in a collaborative setting to share knowledge, wisdom, and innovation to enhance our collective strength and impact.
This year’s USET Best Practices Conference continues our powerful theme, “The Braided Path: Weaving Together Wisdom, Innovation, and Community.” Building on this vision, the conference highlights how Tribal Nations are strengthening sovereignty and self-determination through an integrated, cross-disciplinary approach. Guided by the collective work of the USET Offices of Environmental Resource Management, Economic Development, and Tribal Public Health, this year’s program showcases how these interconnected areas come together to support thriving Tribal communities.
The USET Best Practices Conference features dynamic tracks designed to spark dialogue, inspire collaboration, and elevate innovative solutions across key programmatic areas. Through engaging presentations, interactive panel discussions, and meaningful networking opportunities, participants will gain practical insights, exchange expertise, and build lasting connections with peers and thought leaders from across Indian Country.
Presentations from the USET Offices of Environmental Resource Management, Economic Development, and Tribal Public Health will be organized across three signature tracks:
- Our Homelands – This track explores the deep connection between Indigenous communities and their ancestral lands, highlighting best practices in cultural preservation, sustainable community development, and environmental stewardship.
- Our People – Centered on the strength and well-being of Indigenous people, this track addresses health, education, workforce development, and the protection of traditional knowledge and languages.
- Our Voice – Looking toward the future, this track amplifies Indigenous perspectives and leadership, showcasing innovative approaches to global challenges and advancing the inclusion of Tribal voices in decision-making spaces.
