The first half of 2022 has seen NNPC Correspondents involved in a number of different matters including cargo claims, a collision and the fall out from the conflict in the Ukraine. The extensive European sanctions imposed on cargoes destined for Russia and the limitations on Russian crewmembers meant a number of principals were confronted with delays or uncertainties about their options in Dutch ports which was further complicated when many Dutch ports put a general hold on Russia bound cargoes pending approval of individual shipments.
We were able to assist our principals by relying on our experience with and contacts in the Dutch market, including our network of surveyors and lawyers, to provide advice and protect their interests. In addition to providing our services in Dutch ports, the lifting of COVID restrictions allowed us to arrange our first in person meetings with existing and prospective clients which we obviously hope to continue in the months to come.
We are ready to assist P&I Clubs, shipowners and charterers and invite you to contact us at any time for assistance in Dutch ports and European waterways.
