Reduce Stress with Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a great way to reduce stress and anxiety plus increase focus - particularly relevant with all that is going on around the world right now. But what is it and how does it work?

How Does Mindfulness Work?

Here’s what you need to know about mindfulness. It enables us to distance ourselves from our thoughts and feelings without labeling them as good or bad. A mindful person is reflective rather than reactive. They focus on the present moment. By focusing our attention on the present moment, mindfulness counteracts rumination and worrying. 

Mindfulness teaches us how to respond to stress with awareness of what is happening in the present moment, rather than simply acting instinctively, unaware of what emotions or motives may be driving that decision. By teaching awareness for one's physical and mental state in the moment, mindfulness allows for more adaptive reactions to difficult situations such as with this COVID-19 pandemic.

Plant the Seeds of Mindfulness

AURORA intends to offer mental health support during this COVID-19 school closure so that individuals can remain strong at promoting effective health and wellness strategies that result in increased moral during this difficult time.
These Mindfulness Courses are intended to demonstrate how mindfulness can help with physical and psychological health problems and ongoing life challenges in your own personal life and in the lives of the individuals you interact with.  

Course over 5 days: April 6 - 10th 10-11am on Zoom

Cultivating your Mindful Practice

AURORA intends to offer mental health support during this COVID-19 school closure so that individuals can remain strong at promoting effective health and wellness strategies that result in increased moral during this difficult time.
These ongoing programs are intended to provide opportunities for you to mindfully connect with your body, mind and soul using meditation both online and outside with Mother Earth.

Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:00-8:30pm on Zoom
Evening Meditations & Reflections

Want to set aside time on a regular basis to meditate in stillness to replace any Fear with Faith?  Let's use this time to come together to build the Faith that our world will come back to a place of equilibrium.



April 18 1-3pm OUTSIDE!
Mother Earth Connection - Snowshoeing

Join us for a snowshoe out on local trails through the majestic boreal forest.

Meet at Aurora at 1pm with your snowshoes and we will direct you where the trails are located.
Please respect Social Distancing Guidelines.

"Spring cleaning" isn't limited to what you're doing with your closets. Celebrate spring by clearing out what isn't serving you in your life anymore and making room for what does. It's the perfect time to de-clutter, become empowered, and create intentions for what you want.

So join Denise and Adrianna to "plant the seeds you want to grow" now that the sunlight is increasing as we enter Spring.

Providing Experiences to Build a Community of Support

The vision of the I Am Sessions is to bring together a diverse group of facilitators and presenters that specialize in their craft or service, inspirational speaking, wellness instruction, music performance, massage therapy, and so much more.

What are these I AM Sessions going to be?
They can be anything we want them to be!

I AM Creative - we can have craft nights!

I AM Healthy - cook a healthy meal! 

I AM Mindful - journal or write poetry! 

I AM Alive - have a dance party! 

I AM Relaxed - make our own bath salts!

All of this to build our Mind, Body, Soul connection to show that I AM Enough.

Sisterhood Healing from The Pas will be meeting on April 22nd at 7:30pm and on April 8th at 7:30pm they will be joining the Sisterhood of the Boreal from Flin Flon and area through Zoom video conference for a Full Moon gathering.

We need these gatherings to remind us that we are never alone, no matter what. Even if it feels dark and there is loud terror circulating through our systems, we must remember that the light IS still there, we are NOT alone, we are ALWAYS supported. So, please join us sisters.
