It's hard to know how to carry on with a regular life when the world seems to be blowing up, isn't it? Between the war news and the politics and some particularly horrid political decisions that are happening in Florida, it would be quite possible to lose my mind. My friends at Jungle Red Writers blogged about this a few weeks ago—how to carry on during stressful times. I’m trying to let leaders know what I think, make donations to people in distress, keep all of them in my prayers, and otherwise, stick to my lane. My lane is writing of course. I know how valuable getting lost in a good book is to me during hard times, and I can only hope my books may help some of you survive the craziness and stress in a similar way.
Speaking of books, I'm busy writing Key West food critic mystery #13 (no title yet!). The scone sisters from A Scone of Contention are in Key West for a British Baking Show, American style. This has been so much fun to write, and I've decided to set it around St. Patrick's Day. Who says Scottish ladies won't wear green tutus and drink bilious green drinks? Last week was "what we're writing" on the Jungle Red Writers blog and I enjoyed sending the ladies on a tiki hut sunset cruise with Miss Gloria. You can read that snippet here.
