    There are times when it seems we will never reach the life we dream for. Whatever we try, circumstances slap us in the face. That is the moment of true courage - to keep on trying without losing faith for a better tomorrow.

    Christmas Baubles

    It was a cloudy day when my husband and I went for a walk by the river Aura here in Turku, Finland. We came to a park and to our surprise there in the leafless trees hung these big red Christmas Baubles. In the evenings they are lit from within - I'll try to get an evening picture of them one day.

    Today's Happiness

    Christmas pastries

    On the same walk where the Christmas bauble-picture is from we stopped by the Turku Cathedral and bought Christmas pastries and some (non-alcoholic) mulled wine. It is the tradition in Finland to make these star-shaped pastries with plum-jam in the middle. The first ones of the season always taste the best.

    Writing Blog / Digital painting or real brushes...

    Still haven't decided will I go the faster way with my illustrations to the Pharaoh's Horse - namely paint the pictures digitally using my Wacom board, or should I paint them with real brushes (which I like very much). It all comes to time really... I'll be concentrating on my dissertation in my MA in Egyptology studies from New Year onwards. 

    Well, I suppose I'll know the answer when I have had a few discussions with my dissertation advisor and have everything planned to my... oh yes, you guessed it: calendar!

    I sell my books directly too. The ebooks are cheap to buy and the big e-stores don't share much of the price with the authors. That is why I have downloaded my books to Payhip - they don't take a commission which makes it easier for me to pay my editor, proofreader and cover designer.
