Cracking down on knockoffs, and a recommended Podcast!

Greetings everyone! I don't have much to update on the personal side - it took me over a week to recover from the flu this season, which is terribly boring.

Instead, I'd like to alert my corsetiere and creative friends about the new Etsy IP Reporting Portal. (The best part about it is that you do not have to be an Etsy seller in order for it to work!)

The portal allows you to upload links and examples of your own intellectual property and save it to your account, so you can issue multiple DMCA takedown demands on any listings that match your photos and designs. I've already tried it on four different listings using my photos to sell their knockoff items, and the portal really speeds up the process.

In other news, just today I caught a great podcast episode featuring dress historian Kenna Libes, all about historical accuracy of corsets (or lack thereof) in "historical" TV series. I'm looking forward to catching part 2 next week!
