Time to celebrate nature, the new season and a successful planting season!

Bright beginnings celebrating Spring, National Wattle Day, the start of Biodiversity Month and National Threatened Species Day!

Biodiversity is the variety of all life forms on earth – the different plants, animals and micro-organisms, and the ecosystems that are their homes. We celebrate Biodiversity Month every September to promote the importance of protecting, conserving and improving biodiversity.

We are proud of the work that we do (especially the 141k seedlings sown this year!) to make Victoria more biodiverse and proudly continue preserving our natural environments and habitats for all living creatures.

In the spirit of preserving and appreciating nature, we thought we would mention that today is National Wattle Day. The golden wattle is one of our most beautiful native plants symbolising unity and resilience in the face of climate change, biodiversity loss and natural habitat destruction. It's all happening this month - because it's also National Threatened Species Day and Save the Koala day on the 7th and 30th of September, respectively.

So let's spring into Spring and start diarising dates!

CONFESSIONS OF A FIRST TIME GROWER

Next weekend I’ll have mixed feelings when I deliver my trees to a farmer in Yellingbo, marking the end of my first growing season with TreeProject . . .

[However], . . . in terms of helping our environment, nothing is more tangible than growing the plants that will regenerate our landscape.
