COVID 19 Update

The current plan, in alignment with the guidelines published by the Nevada State Governor and the ELCA, is that we will reopen and begin services on July 12th

We appreciate all who have continued to send in their offering and tithes through this pandemic. Please continue to support your church, and we will all see each other On July 12th!

The church has been deep cleaned, and supplies have been purchased to facilitate that cleaning, and to make sure that we are able to keep everything in that state and our congregation healthy. The cost of these supplies were $423.36. Anything you can donate to help offset those costs would be greatly appreciated

A special thank you to Georgette Barney who arranged for, and donated, the cleaning of all of the carpets and soft surfaces in both the church and the Lutheran Center

Please note that when we return to worship on the 12th, there will be changes to how we worship and how we interact. Some of those will be:

  • Hand sanitizer must be used on entry
  • Masks must be worn
  • Social distancing in pews. Family groups may sit together but there must be an empty pew between each group
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout church
  • Glasses will be used for communion, no common cup
  • Usher will provide hand sanitizer when going up to communion (in family groups only)
  • Sharing of the peace will be by waving only
  • Sanitizing pews after service
  • Hand sanitizer must be used when leaving
  • No fellowship in the hall after church

Additionally, should anyone who is tested and receives a positive result must let the council know, so everyone can be warned they came in contact with them. Names will be withheld to protect anonymity

Finally, as no-one has been getting a bulletin so you can't see the weekly total, as of the end of May we had $7252.96 in our checking account

We are collecting items for the church yard sale!  Many thanks to Alice Person for organizing this event. The yard sale date will be announced in the future, and will be sometime this fall. Please contact Alice for further information or if you would like to assist in any way.

The Spring Craft fair was cancelled and will not be rescheduled for this year.

The craft fair to benefit the North Lyon County Fire Department was postponed in May, and will be rescheduled. Further details will follow, but the craft fair is likely to be held in August or September
