Hello Friends-

"Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and musings.

This week has been a bit mentally exhausting with all that has been going on... So many emotions... and, not enough words, or the ability to fully articulate them the way in which I want. I largely just have a continuous prayer for the country and world...prayers for peace, healing, and humanity...That's really all I got at this moment.

Random stories, pictures, video highlights, and other life musings can be found on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week (when/if I end up posting anything).

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Continued prayers that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy out there 💗.

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Velleity (noun): a wish or inclination not strong enough to lead to action

  • ADVICE: “The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of all kinds." ~Dalai Lama

  • MOOD MUSIC: To say that this week has been a bit draining with what is happening in the world would be a gross understatement...Needless to say, Billie Holiday's 80 year old song, "Strange Fruit," has been ringing through my mind. If you are not familiar with the origin of that song, this visual breakdown of this haunting song will be quite an educational experience. It highlights just a taste of the rooted pain that is still felt by many at times like these.

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: Hearing and learning from the experiences of others is one of my absolute favorite things. I think that is why I truly love the art and magic of storytelling. The Moth, one of my beloved podcasts, always has a beautiful way of fusing those loves of mine together in stories that speak to the heart and soul on a metaphorical rollercoaster. I hope that you will get a little something out of this episode on "How You See Me," that speaks to the experiences and journeys around human perception.

  • COOKERY MAGIC: We could all use a little hug in our lives right now, right? Here's hoping that one of these 20 Easy Comfort Food Recipes will provide you with a warm fuzzy and full belly.

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: If you're looking for a little extra motivation in the home cleaning and organization department, you may find this collection of apps to be super helpful.

  • FEEL GOOD SHARE: This sweet story of 7-year-old, Curtis Rogers, using his ingenuity in creating a prom for his babysitter (because hers was cancelled) warmed my heart.

This week's challenge is to think of, and act upon, a way in which you can help make a difference in creating a better world for all.

My sincerest apologies for delaying the announcement of the next date for this!

However, if you know me personally, you also know I can't (and won't) do things "half-a$$". And, if my mood & energy aren't in the right place, that is exactly what this will be 😔. So, stay tuned for a future announcement of the future date- I promise it will be soon!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
