Dear Financial Services friends, I trust you all had a good start to the new year!
I know I've been quite persistent the last couple of years with newsletters landing in your inbox very other week, but it is only because my team and I have been toiling away thinking of ways to challenge you to pursue greatness and to re-evaluate your options in a positive way.
So here is my quick message to you: Right now, we are at the most important period of the year, the first quarter! This is the time when people set themselves up and this coming year will either be the same as 2021 OR they are so sick and tired that they are finally ready to make a change. So right now, I am actively searching for quality financial advisers who are determined to start 2022 with renewed determination and follow through. If you are sick and tired of wishing you had more, dreaming that you could DO more, then now is the time to: ─► Step out of your fears
─► Step out of your comfort zone
and...
─► stop making excuses and step out of your old life!
At any given point, you can decide that you will no longer let your past define your future, and you and only you CAN make that change.
Yes, it requires determination...yes, it requires persistence...and yes, it requires you to take action. So, if you're ready, I'm ready.
You need to be willing to perhaps sacrifice a little now to create something better for your future. And ask yourself...if not NOW, then…WHEN?
Don't regret things gone past, learn from it, be proactive and create NEW experiences! There’s no better time like the present.
As long-time procrastinators will attest, this deferral of something that needs to be done is rarely an isolated instance, and it usually occurs habitually and for trivial reasons.
Here are a few common references to this disease:-
- “Procrastination is the bad habit of putting off until the day after tomorrow what should have been done the day before yesterday."
- "Perfectionism is often an excuse for procrastination."
- "Procrastination is the thief of time.”
I'm sure there are more out there.
Procrastination is acceptable when it comes to practicing the bagpipes, taking off your socks to allow your feet to breathe…but make no mistake, procrastination, when it comes to making wise decisions regarding your life, career and future can cost you dearly over time.
So, let's review what we want to achieve this year going forward, and take decisive action that will allow us to have a decent shot at achieving those objectives.
Ok, let's see what is up this coming week !
