My September trip to New Orleans was amazing-- Read more about it below! And now that we are finally through the retrograde, I have some fun announcements to share!
New Orleans was a bucket-list trip for me and it did not disappoint! Everyone there was warm and welcoming, the food was amazing, and there was art, jazz, and creativity everywhere! As always, I shared some photos of my daily shenanigans on my socials, but have included a few below for those who don't follow me there. It was super fun and I did manage to squeeze a "bookish" thing into one of the days. The historic Hotel Monteleone has accommodated literary greats such as Ernest Hemingway, Anne Rice, and John Grisham, and they even have literary suites you can book if you are looking for some (pricey) inspiration! We didn't stay there, but we did manage a drink at their famous Carousel Lounge which was a unique way to enjoy my cranberry and vodka.
I have been letting Athena's Challenge marinate and will be completing the edits and shipping it off to my editor this month. I am planning to send the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) out in November to the subscribers on my street team. For anyone interested in receiving a copy of my books in exchange for an honest review, please see the link to my sign-up form below and I will get you added!
I am also excited to announce that I have started work on Book 4 of that series, which is titled (so far) Web Of Lies. It is Arachne's story, and while it is still forming in my mind, I do have a pretty healthy outline of what I "think" will happen. It can always go off the rails, I am a discovery writer after all, but I think for the most part I am set with my hero. For anyone who has watched "The Sandman" by Neil Gaiman on Netflix, the main character is definitely the hero for her! I'm having a blast learning more about Morpheus and putting my own spin on his mythology. Shooting for early 2023 on this one and you can follow me on any of the socials to see updates by clicking below!
For my October travels, I am heading to Louisville, KY for their Book Festival on October 28 & 29, 2022. While I did participate in this event last year virtually, this will be the first "in-person" event for this group. I am very excited to meet new readers and will be doing something special for the kids as a giveaway, so be sure to stop by my table if you are in the area! You can find more information on the event below.
I hope everyone is happy and healthy, and if you are reading... as always, let me know what! I will share my latest purchases below which are planted firmly on my TBR!
XO
