Hi Friends!
Yikes! I fell behind again. Even with the best intentions of creating jewelry weekly, keeping up with social media and sending monthly newsletters, life got in the way. But, if there's one thing I know, it's that you can relate. And the best thing to do is to dust off and keep moving forward towards those goals.
With that in mind, I'd like to tell you about my first step towards more creativity and jewelry making. I created a weekly Jewelry Making Challenge on my private Facebook group. And I can report that I have successfully made and posted a piece of jewelry every week for the past 12 weeks! I think I even made 2 one week!
If you're like me and procrastinate, or sometimes lack a creative spark or need to make a commitment - I'd love for you to join the challenge. There's more information on my website about the Weekly Beading and Jewelry Making Challenge and how to sign up.
One thing that hindered my progress these past few months was feeling disorganized. I merged my two craft spaces (one was at my Dad's house) and ended up disorganized and unable to find anything! It has taken me a month to get some control, but I've learned a few new things that I'll share in a future post. I'd say I'm about 80% of the way to where I'd like to be, so it's still a work in progress.
I have a few new tutorials below, one that was published on the Embroiderer's Guild of America website. Embroidery is another thing I fancy, but haven't had time for. It's a great beginner level circular brick stitch tutorial designed for non-beaders. See below for links to new tutorials.
I hope you'll join my Facebook group and challenge yourself to create and post your projects. And I intend to be in touch more regularly as things get more organized here and the creativity is flowing.
