I'm so proud of them. What's the opposite of humblebragging? (Oh right, BRAGGING)
This can be you too. If not now, then in the future. It's inevitable.
My dream is to help you achieve your free life beyond the bar. This is not out of your reach and is something you can look forward to. I'll show you how over the next few months.
2ļøā£ Essay donations: I have an essay answer bank run entirely by donations.
If you have any returned essays from previous attempts (in any state), please consider donating them so I can share with future readers.
3ļøā£ Word of mouth: Lastly, if you found my material helpful, the best compliment you can give me is to mention it to someone else.
Tell a friend, your law school advisor (Iām looking to connect with law schools), or your favorite bar exam Facebook group (tag @Brian Hahn) or subreddit (tag u/amalehuman).
You can even forward this email to someone who might find it helpful, like a baton.
Welcome to the other side of the grass.
Did not pass / First timer
People are terrible at predicting the future.
We enter the future backward, like rowing a boat. All we can do is look to scenes of the past and learn from them.
So, they say āhindsight is 20/20.ā But imagine you could find out what you should do BEFORE itās too late. What if you could use 20/20 FORESIGHT to ālook aheadā with a crystal ball to avoid mistakes in your bar preparation?
Yes, you actually have a crystal ball. It's your predecessors who prepared for the bar exam. Or if you're a repeater, your prior experiences.
At MTYLT, you and I will weigh the outcomes analytically. Weāll be optimistic, but we wonāt try to predict things outside of our control.
One way to do that is to listen to bar takers who visited hell and lived to tell the tale.
They have their own lessons and regrets. They say things like...
- āI would have passed sooner if Iād known thatā¦ā
- āI should have done this last timeā¦ā
- āI passed this time becauseā¦ā
Thatās your cue that youāre in the ābetween the linesā territoryāthe part most people donāt tell you about.
It means you donāt have to reinvent the wheel because you can look ahead through the crystal ball. Those who leap over the pioneers get their results not by reinventing the wheelā¦but by getting the right guidance and building on that.
Thatās why I asked July bar takers for their regrets and advice to share with you today. What do you notice?
