Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago has claimed victory in the country’s elections.

Trinidad and Tobago hosted their elections today – (August 10, 2020) – and the winner was confirmed some five hours after the close of polls.

According to the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) more than 1.1 million people are eligible to vote in this year’s election.    Continue reading →

GUYANA: Office of the President to have oversight of finance; natural resources

The Cabinet appointments made by the President Infaan Ali did not include a Minister of Finance. It also did not assign any ministerial responsibilities to the Prime Minister.

TRAVEL: GCAA publishes schedule of repatriation flights to Guyana from USA

The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has published the schedule for repatriation flights to Guyana from the United States.

Over the next three weeks, US-based Eastern Airlines will operate six repatriation flights from Miami and New York.

According to GCAA’s published schedule, the flights will be conducted on August 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26.
