Dear supervisors, students, and families,

As we enter this season of gratitude, we at ICA Cristo Rey want to express our heartfelt thanks to each of you who make our Corporate Work Study program a reality. Our CWS program not only bridges the gap between the classroom and the workplace but also empowers our students to develop professional skills, confidence, and a vision for their futures. This incredible achievement would not be possible without your support, dedication, and belief in our mission.

To our supervisors, we thank you for your guidance, patience, and mentorship. Each workday, you create an environment where our students learn, grow, and feel valued. To our donors, we thank you for your generosity and commitment to our students’ success. Because of you, 100% of our graduates attend college, and 89% are first-generation college students, carrying forward the hope you have helped create.

To our students and families, we thank you for your perseverance, resilience, and dedication. You bring your own light to this program, and your growth reminds us of the importance of our mission. We are grateful for your hard work, your openness to learning, and the unique talents each of you share with the community.

As we celebrate this giving season, we honor each of you who transforms the CWS program from an opportunity into a reality. Together, you empower our young women to grow into confident, capable leaders of tomorrow!

We are thrilled to honor one of ICA Cristo Rey’s Founding Partners, Heffernan Insurance Brokers, and two outstanding mentors who have profoundly impacted our students: Teresa Conway and Gwyneth Lochtefeld. Heffernan Insurance has hosted ICA Cristo Rey Student Associates since the 2009-2010 school year, offering an inspiring environment for our students to grow professionally and personally.

Since its launch in October 2022, Level Up has welcomed over 150 professionals from across the Bay Area, providing ICA Cristo Rey students with invaluable industry insights, expert guidance, and opportunities to make meaningful connections. Last month’s Level Up event continued this tradition, bringing together more than 35 professionals and 35 students to explore careers in Healthcare, Venture Capital, Education, Finance, Law, Retail, Marketing, Technology, and Biotechnology.

Organized in small groups by industry, the event allowed students to engage in focused conversations with professionals who shared their unique experiences and insights. Students were inspired to explore fields they hadn’t previously considered and gained a broader understanding of potential career paths.

We extend our sincere gratitude to ICA’s Board of Directors, Corporate Work Study partners, alumnae, and friends who joined us for this inspiring event. Your presence and mentorship encourage our students to step confidently outside their comfort zones and embrace new possibilities. The connections created at Level Up are invaluable to the young women of ICA Cristo Rey, reminding them that they have a strong community supporting them on their journey to becoming leaders in their chosen fields.
