The National Jamboree is coming in the summer of 2026 and Scouts BSA members from the Abraham Lincoln Council are invited to be a part of the adventure! Jamboree is Scouting’s flagship event that gathers of tens of thousands of Scouts, leaders, and Jamboree Service Team members from all over the country for a 10 day showcase that includes everything that is great about Scouting America. With the theme of "Elevate", Scouts and Scouters will ELEVATE their Scouting experience by exploring all kinds of adventures—stadium shows, pioneer village, Mount Jack hikes, adventure sports and more—in the heart of one of nature’s greatest playgrounds, the Bechtel Summit Reserve in West Virginia where there will be no shortage of opportunities to build Scouting memories! Jamboree is not summer camp - it is 360-degrees of fun, friends and fellowship with hands-on adventure that takes you places you never thought you’d go and challenge you to try things you never thought you could do. Only held once every four years, claim your ticket for the 2026 Jamboree and get ready to ELEVATE your Scouting adventure!

The Boy Scouts of America offers an online member and unit renewal process. Listed below are several resources to assist with smooth and improved renewal processes. All units and members currently registered with the BSA need to complete this process on a yearly basis.

The Winter Banquet is an annual recognition event. At this event, you can see all the exciting things that happened over the year. You'll have the opportunity to see the recognition of the new Vigil Class and the newest Founders Award, Recipients! You'll also hear a lot of promotions about our Spring events. You can meet the Youth Leaders and Officers of Illinek Lodge! This event is open to all Arrowmen, even other Lodges! Be on the lookout, and you might meet another Arrowman in our Section.

The Abraham Lincoln Council will field Expeditionary Teams to search for the gold strike discovered at Camp Bunn. The course is rugged, the weather brutal. Every scout skill will be tested to the limit. However, the potential rewards for each team are unlimited. Fight your way through snow-choked mountain passes and down the Yukon River to stake your claim to a fortune in gold on creeks with names like Eldorado, Bonanza, Last Chance, and Chillkoot. Points earned during the day at each station will be used by patrols to bid on patrol items at the Saturday night auction. At least $1000.00 worth of available camping gear.

You can bring the whole family, as family programming is available for conference attendees.

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting and powerful program designed to provide members of Troops, Crews, and Ships (ages 13 and over) with leadership skills and experiences they can use to lead themselves and others. This 5-day outdoor experience represents a month in the model life of a typical Scouting unit, split between two weekends at Camp Illinek. The course is designed to complement leadership training at the unit level and to follow up on Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops. Dates: Feb7-9 & Feb 15-16

Whether working with a pack, troop, crew, ship, club or post, unit commissioners are key to ensuring units have the necessary resources to provide a quality program for their youth. This is a one-year position that is renewable annually. Responsibilities: Unit Support. Registered scouters with some scouting experience and/or training, who might have stepped away from weekly meetings and monthly camping or unit events, are perfect candidates to help in this role by being assigned to a few units for occasional visits and providing resources. Please recommend to any of those stepping down from key unit roles to contact the council office for more information.

New Program Highlights and 12-month Calendars.

The Council Program Committees have out together a Pack and Troop version of our calendar and events. This will be mailed out to every Scouting family in September. This is designed to help communicate when our events are. It’s also designed to help Troops and Packs plan to go to these events with their Scouts.

Friends of Scouting is the annual giving campaign for the Abraham Lincoln Council that helps provide the necessary funds to ensure a quality Scouting program for every youth. Friends of Scouting donations make up 15% of our income each year, and is vital to the programs and services of the Council.
