Welcome to the 8th St. Gallen Diversity & Inclusion Week, this year's focus topic being:

MOVING FORWARD: OVERCOMING DE&I FATIGUE AND RESISTANCE

Do you know the feeling: when it comes to DE&I or equal opportunities, many people roll their eyes. Do we really still need that? These topics again? Etc. This year, we would like to get to the bottom of the challenge of DE&I fatigue in organisations and among individuals.

Taking place from 16-20 September, the conference will explore innovative strategies and measures to help you re-energize and sustain your DE&I initiatives. Benefit from expert input, discussions and workshops on topics such as

  • Overcoming organisational fatigue in DE&I processes
  • The role of leaders in sustainable implementation
  • A fruitful culture of discussion instead of resistance
  • How to maintain the motivation of DE&I leaders in the long term

The focus topic will be examined from a range of perspectives in numerous online sessions spread over the week. The Gender Intelligence Report 2024 will also be presented in a hybrid format on Tuesday afternoon. The in-person day will take place on Thursday, 19 September, with refreshing input sessions and practical workshops. Participation in the in-person day is subject to a fee, while all online offerings are free of charge.

You will have the opportunity to attend two workshops - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The workshops will cover topics such as equality poker, institutional resistance, job crafting and cultural change. There will also be plenty of networking opportunities. As the workshops will not be translated, you will have the opportunity to attend a workshop in either English or German in both the morning and the afternoon. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

How to Close the Power Gap? As we know from our previous reports, there is a considerable gap between women and men in roles with decision making power and high influence. But how big is the power gap really? Are there different types of power? How does it translate to other gaps? What are the reasons for the discrepancies and why is it imperative to consciously drive change in the current power dynamics? Find out at the launch event on Tuesday, 17. September.
