TAKE THE CHEAP CHALLENGE: What if you make a discount store, like your local “Dollar Store” a primary destination for holiday shopping?
CARE AND SHARE: Help someone else: It’s hard to feel down while you are busy helping someone else. Do a RANDOM or even a PLANNED Act of KINDNESS.
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS – LITERALLY: Number a sheet of paper from 1 to 100. Challenge yourself to write 100 things you’re grateful for. A UCLA study shows that regular gratitude helps us feel better.
PAMPER TIME: Take the time to take care of you. Buy yourself a gift. Listen to calming or uplifting music. Give yourself a facial or at home spa. Treat yourself.
GET TO MOVING: Turn on some upbeat music and Dance. Take a walk. Exercise, etc. (More Ideas Below)
REACH OUT: Stay connected. Spend time with friends, and family, or even at a community event. And, if you're feeling extra lonely or unhappy - Call someone for help (Crisis hotline: Call 988)
