This area is about 1/2 the size of a typical bedroom. On the left is
my writing planner inventory (Etsy / BrightBirdPress.com) and shipping
station. The middle highlights my Civil War era writing desk, and the
right has bookshelves organized by topic.
The bookshelves were originally those 13" cube organizers that are supposed to sit on the floor, but I added pin legs to make the
tops standing height and for additional storage
underneath. I love this because it encourages me to move around the space. When I need to sit, I'm down at my desk. When I'm plotting or using my whiteboard, I'm standing (or dancing). My whiteboard sits above the right shelf. On the whiteboard, I have
four books super loosely defined for the Hesitant Mediums series, and one photography client on tap to
receive their pregnancy photos.
I do have a full-time job, I'm
a mother to two under five, and I have my publishing, stationery, and photography interests doing business under a solo LLC. So if you're wondering why it takes me so long
to release new books... It's because I have the classic case of
everything interests me.
Luckily, A Spirited Engagement is taking more room in my brain these days as I adjust to the new mandatory hybrid schedule at work. I still hope to release it in 2024, but you'll be the first to know if that date shifts.
